RSL\u2019s Founder, Norton York, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Music and Drama Education Awards held in the UK in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to music education in the UK over the past 30 years. <\/p>\n\n\n

Norton\u2019s win comes as a great accolade to the years of dedication he has given to innovating the music and creative arts education sector. Norton\u2019s progressive approach to music education transformed the sector, and he continues to revolutionise the Creative Industries with RSL Awards\u2019 leading qualifications portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His recently updated report into the music education system in England shows that despite the well documented decline in GCSE music qualifications, overall music qualifications are on the rise in schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
