The No. 1 Drum Competition in South East Asia is back with a bang, with the widest age range among contestants that we have ever had to date! From the 8th to the 10th of September 2023, contestants rocked the house with a steady stream of grooves and creative drum performances — Super Mario on the drums! Who would’ve thought?!<\/p>\n\n\n

The ASIAN SUPREME DRUM COMPETITION 2023 \u2013 organised by RS Event Center \u2013 is an annual event that aims to encourage a love of drumming and lifelong musicianship. We had the privilege this year of welcoming over 500 drummers, nearly half of whom attended the LIVE Qualifying Round at the Alexandra Retail Centre. Set amidst offices, schools, residences and the Labrador Park MRT station on the new Circle Line, ARC complements the amenities centre at Mapletree Business City and provides the ideal retail solution for the large population in the vicinity, this accessible spot is a great place to catch the amazing talents aiming for a spot at the Asian Supreme Drum Competition 2023 Grand Finals!<\/p>\n\n\n

Participants hailed from Singapore, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, the Philippines, USA, UK and beyond!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s competition featured the Singapore Debut of the newly launched NU-X DM8 that the contestants put through its paces, featuring new innovative technologies, giving drummers an authentic acoustic-like feel and realistic expressive playing. The DM-8 features a robust rack system which is durable and aesthetically looks great on stage, or in a studio or home practice space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A number of the Live Qualifiers flew in all the way from Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia for the occasion, and many of the performers both from Singapore and overseas, were familiar faces who we are always delighted to see as they progress in their drumming journey each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2018, the Asian Supreme Drum Competition has brought together young drummers from all over Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
