This heartfelt Christmas gift for her husband, Wilhelm Hensel, combined his evocative illustrations and quotations from German poets with her profound musical expression. The result was a deeply personal work that transcended mere ornamentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lost for more than a century, <em>Das Jahr<\/em> was rediscovered in the late 1980s, revealing its intricate artistry and emotional depth. Today, the cycle stands as a testament to Fanny\u2019s pioneering spirit and her enduring influence on classical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This recital, aptly titled <em>A New Beginning<\/em>, will present the complete cycle of <em>Das Jahr<\/em>, brought to life by NAFA-UAS students under the guidance of Lena Ching. Bach and B\u00e9la Kov\u00e1cs.
